HRS again convened in the Straub Physicians Dining Room for another outstanding interesting case conference. The minutes for this meeting can be downloaded here. The next HRS meeting date is TBD, but will likely be in early January. Stay tuned for more information.

The HRS was proud to host Dr. Jeffrey Towers, from the University of Pittsburgh. Dr. Towers gave three exceptional MSK talks, and members attending were eligible to claim 3 Category 1 CME hours. Minutes for this meeting can be downloaded here.

The HRS met at the Physicians Dining Room at Straub Medical Center on 20 June 2011. The minutes from this meeting can be downloaded here. The agenda included a briefing on the 2011 AMCLC in Washington D.C., by Councilors Kevin Nakamura, M.D., and Andrew Kayes, M.D. (via teleconference). The meeting also featured a review of interesting cases culled from our practices, with 6 presenters showing over 25 fascinating cases!

The 2011 ACR Annual Meeting and Chapter Leadership Conference is 13-18 May 2011. Representing the HRS at this year's meeting is Chapter President, Peter Takeyama, M.D., and Councilors, Kevin Nakamura, M.D., and Andrew Kayes, M.D. Information from the annual meeting will be discussed at our next chapter meeting.

The second HRS meeting of 2011 was held at Morton's Steakhouse in Ala Moana. Meeting attendance was outstanding, requiring restaurant staff to bring in an additional table to accomodate our group. The HRS Bylaws were revised, and will be posted online in the near future.

The first organizational meeting of 2011 was held at Mai Lan restaurant in Honolulu. In attendance were radiologists from across the state, representing a wide range of practice environments, from teleradiology, to hospital-based, to military. Dr. Sal Labruzzo was also in attendance, representing the RFS.
New officers and councilors were selected:
- President: Dr. Peter Takeyama
- Vice President: Dr. Young Kim
- Treasurer: Dr. Andrew Barger (re-elected)
- Councilor: Dr. Kevin Nakamura
- Councilor: Dr. Andrew Kayes
- Alternate Councilor: Dr. Vijay Chandnani
The HRS bylaws were discussed, and will be ammended at the next HRS gathering, tentatively scheduled for 25 April 2011 at Morton's The Steakhouse, at the Ala Moana Shopping Center. Stay tuned for more information.
